Two McCracken County men were arrested following drug investigations on Monday afternoon.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said a traffic stop was conducted about 2 pm in the Farley area on a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Robert Miller.

Investigators knew Miller did not have a license and with the use of K-9 the odor of illegal drugs was noticed in the vehicle.

During a search of the vehicle, a safe was found underneath the truck which contained more than 700 grams of crystal meth.

Miller was jailed on charges of no operators license and trafficking in methamphetamine.

A second investigation took place at an Old Said Road residence where deputies found small quantities of meth, marijuana, and money believed to be proceeds of illegal drug sales.

48-year-old James Eric Davenport was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and marijuana possession.

Both men were lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jaul.
